Dear All,

Coming Monday, 23rd, we will be on a night hike.

  • Meet:  7.00pm   at the hall on time.
  • Pick up:  8.30pm  Waitara Macdonalds
  • Bring:  A drink bottle,  aeroguard and money to buy a snack at Macdonalds.
  • Wear Full Uniform and walking shoes.

We will be walking through the bush behind the hall along the Benowie walking track and then onto the streets. It a very pleasant and easy walkl. Parents are welcome to join us.

A1 form must be handed in on the night.

Can I request you to email me if you are coming to the day out in the City on 29th. I have to book the tourist train.

Future Scout Day at the Jamboree will be on Saturday 9 January 2010

Ever wondered what being a Scout was all about? Well here’s your chance! Become a Scout for a day on Saturday 9 January 2010 at the AJ2010 Future Scout Day. Future Scout Day is an opportunity for Cub Scouts to get a small taste of what an Australian Jamboree is all about. The day will run from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Visitors to the Jamboree

If you are at the Jamboree and your family wants to visit you, the only open Visitors Day at AJ2010 is Saturday 9 January. For more information and for details of how all visitors MUST apply to attend beforehand see the visitors page on the AJ2010 website.

If you are not going to the Jamboree – or if you are and you want your family and friends to see the excitement and fun happening every day, keep watching the Official AJ2010 Website www.ScoutsAJ2010.com, because we will be putting heaps of videos and photos up on the website every day of the Jamboree, from our Jamboree News Network – JNN. There will also be a Video Activity base where patrols will make their own Videos, and the winning videos every day will be seen on JNN-TV, at the Jamboree site and on the web site. You will also see electronic versions of the JNN Daily Newspaper, and hear some sound clips from JNN 103.7 FM, our own radio station. So have everyone look every day to see if they can spot you having the Summer of Your Life!

Dear All,

Sunday, 29th Nov. Fun Day in the City – for “Out and ABout Badgework” .
This day has been specially organised as in the month of November, Scouts all over Austraalia are to be seen Out and About in their unforms in the general public-  this will earn them a very special badge.

This day is a Combined outing with Meadow Bank cub pack and promises to be a very enjoyable. Parents are requested to join us.

We will be taking the train from Epping to Meadowbank station

  • 9.45am Epping Station
  • Meet Meadow Bank Cub Pack.at the station 10.15am.
  • Take the ferry at  10.45am  from Meadow Bank Wharf to Darling Harbour and  then to the Quay.
  • Walk to the Opera House then to the Botanical Gardens.Picnic in the Botanical Gardens. Take the Tourist Train for a guided tour round the Gardens. Walk through the City streets to Wynyard  and take the train back home.
  • Bring: Morning tea, snacks, packed lunch and a big drink bottle.
  • Full uniform must be worn. Walking shoes, hat and sunscreen.
  • Meet: 9.45 am Epping Station.
  • Cost: $7.50 per head   ($2.50 for the Train/Ferry Sunday Fun Day pass + $5.00 for the Tourist train)
  • Arrive/Pick up Epping 4.25pm

Parking near Coles at Epping on Sunday will not be a problem.

So that we can qualify for the Special Family Fun Day Ticket available on Sundays for Bus/Train/Ferry  for $2.50 each will need a few parents to join us on the day.

A1 Activity Form needs to be filled out for everyone going.

Please let me know how many are coming so we can book the tourist train for the rides accordingly.

Hello all sections

This year we will be selling Xmas trees at the BP Garage Pennant Hills rd Normanhurst on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th December to raise money for the group.

We are asking all members to contribute and help in selling the trees over this weekend.

Schedule

  • Saturday Morning 6am to 7am Unload Volunteers needed.( Pwise and Early Risers)
  • Saturday 7am to 12 midday -  Scout Family Members
  • Saturday 12 midday to 5pm-  Cub Family Members
  • Sunday Morning 8.30am to 12 midday
  • Joey Family Members Sunday 12 midday to 5pm  – Venturers/Rovers Family Members

If any one can not make there allotted section times feel free to assist on another sections time.

This is a fun and community interactive activity to end the year, hope to see many helpers,

NB- Could all section leaders please pass on this early warning invitation/request for help to there respective family section members also.

Sunday, 15th – Swimming badgework afternoon at Cherrybrook Aquatic center From 2 – 4 pm.
Cost $5.00

All cubs are expected and requested to attend as it is important afternoon. If time permits we will have fun and games in the pool at the end. A1 Activity Notification Form 09 must be filled out for swimming afternoon.
