Dear All,
Firstly THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO everyone – mums, dads, cubs and siblings who helped us out yesterday at the BBQ.  It was very successful and we had a good day.
1. I have received information for the Group Family camp in June which I am forwarding to all. It is always a wonderful weekend so if you can do come along and join us all in the fun.
2. NSW State Cuboree Application Forms are now out. The application Forms are apparently only available ‘on-line’ (http://www.nsw.scouts.com.au/cubs/news.aspx?newsID=181)
Each participant has to individually complete their own application form and once this has been successfully submitted & completed the form can be printed and the form handed to the Cub Leader (Akela) along with the appropriate cheque ($110.00 for the 1st instalment).  Cheques please in the name of Normanhurst Scout Group. (unfortunately this time  there is no blank paper form which can be printed out and handed to parents). I will then be able to process the forms and pass them on to the Group leader, District Leader and Region Commissioner for their signatures.
Please can I request all families to start the process as soon as possible and I do urge all cubs if possible to join us as it is a wonderful experiece and comes only once in the time of a Cub.
If you have any problems with Registration please let me know. I will email everyone their Reg. Nos. soon. Please note the cut off date of birth for the cubs wanting to go to the Cuboree.
Many thanks
Akela

Dear All,

Hope you all are having a relaxing holiday. I have emailed the new cub program out earlier. This term is exciting with a lot of activities coming up.

1. ANZAC March is this Sunday, 18th as Hornsby RSL always has it a week before. They go to the city on the actual day.

Meet: 10.30am outside Hornsby Locksmith – 302-308 Pacific Hwy Hornsby. We march to the Cenetaph near the Station for the Service and then cubs are invited for some refreshments at the club. Finish by midday.

2.   Please look at the Cuboree information on the following website for further details. Applications will be out soon.  The first instalment will be collected with the completed forms by us by mid May. $110.00 as it has to go through a few people for their signatures and verification before it reaches the Region Commissioner by the due date. The cut off date is very strict.

3.    Saturday, 24th is the Bunnings BBQ for Cubs.  From 8.00-4.00pm.  We still need many families to come forward to help us.  You may bring your siblings along with you to help. We request all families to give some time. It will be in 2 hour slots. I have to finalise the roster this coming monday night. Please come and see us to complete the roster. All money raised will be for the Cubs and the Cuboree this year coming up.

Thanking you in advance for your support in this.

cheers
